Why I’m getting behind Remain Voter

I marched for a People’s Vote with 400,000. I signed the Revoke Article 50 petition with six million. The European Parliament elections on 23rd May is far bigger than either.

With just four weeks to go, which pro-EU party should you vote for? Liberal Democrats, Change UK, Green Party, Scottish National Party (Scotland), Plaid Cymru (Wales), SDLP (Northern Ireland), or Alliance (Northern Ireland)? If remain voters are split across many small parties, we won’t prevail against Nigel Farage’s Brexit party.

We need to choose the party in each area with the best chance of winning and coordinate our votes. Remain Voter is an opportunity to directly impact the results of the European Parliament elections.

By background I’m a software engineer; I enjoy solving challenging problems at Google and startups. Now I advocate for and build communities around open source infrastructure, as a director at the Linux Foundation.

I’m joining the board of Remain Voter to solve one of the biggest challenges of our time, impacting hundreds of millions of people for decades.

We need people to build and spread the word. If you can help, contact me at [email protected]. We are committed to transparency, including collaborating on polling data with other pro-EU organisations and open sourcing the underlying mathematical models.

With four weeks to go, there’s no time to lose. Join the thousands who have already registered at https://remainvoter.com.
